What to do when the keys are in the trunk

So some of you all are thinking what?!?! yes, this morning i woke up on time, made coffee, curled my hair, made my lunch, and drank two cups of coffee, brushed my teeth, turned off the ac, and then gathered up my things and walked out the front door. I locked the door had my keys in hand, placed them on top of my laundry basket, popped the trunk placed the basket in the car and then grabbed my purse out of the basket and shut the trunk. YEP YOU GUESSED it my keys were left in the trunk right on top of the laundry basket. As my eyes welled up, I thought now lets be smarter than crying sure I was locked out of the car, and the house and it was chilly this morning. All I needed to do was get a hold of a 24 hour lock smith and then I would be fine! Sweet, praise the Lord I had my cell phone called 411 got a number and called them 20-30 minutes and someone would be there ok. I would still make it on time to work, but just wouldnt be there to tutor Daniel Wallior, not too bug of a worry my dad could do it. I then called my principals secretary to say that I might be late too work today because I locked my keys in the trunk of my car, she said no problem and that she would take care of it. Whew realieved I was and then what is one to do...I couldnt grade papers, they were in the trunk...work on my laptop, it was in the trunk too...couldnt watch tv, i was locked out of the house...i had nothing to sit on because we dont have any yard furniture and I was in my work clothes...after about 20 minutes of pacing I decided to sit on my purse and wait...not just wait, I STARTED to ball my eyes out! I could not believe that I had locked my keys in my car and no one had a spare set. scott has one, but he's at work! YEA! Then comes the longest wait outside in the cold, my favorite thing in the whole WORLD! I hate being cold and I get real GROUCHY WHEN I GET COLD! Now here comes the kicker~ I waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes in the cold out side for the guy to come ( remember he was going to be there in 20 to 30 minutes) I called the company about four times
and then come to find out that he was on a police call and was not coming. FANTASTIC! My neighbor came out to put her trashcan to the curb and saw me sitting in the driveway and crying she was nice enough to let me come in and sit on her couch in the warmth of her house. The dispatcher was at least nice enough to give me to more numbers, the first number was at least 55 minutes away and well that was not going to work. The next company was going to be there in 15-20 minutes, awesome I might make it to second period by the time he comes and lets me in and then i drive to Riverside. After waiting 30 minutes I called and actually talked to the locksmith and it was going to be 55 minutes until he got to me...so i would be getting to work, just in time for lunch. I called my principals secretary and she said not too worry, just to try to get her a lesson plan for my students to complete... remember no laptop, email or anything....WHO is going to be able to print something out....UNCLE GREG!!! I called him and walked him through a website to get a worksheet and called it a day for school. I was suppose to go to disneyland with the Russells today after work and my keys were still in my trunk. My fantastic husband and I have been calling eachother back and forth and he called three companies got a price quote and a locksmith would be at our house in 15 minutes to let me in....He was, and my keys were gotten out and I was on my way to Riverside...going to the best place ever to find the peace that I wanted, you guessed it starbucks! :) So lets recap a little....
1 hour 45 minutes in the cold + 2 hours and 15 minutes locked out of your house and car + a VERY LATE teacher = hopefully a good chuckle....( i know you all are thinking...glad it was her and not me)....I am able to laugh now and Scott is thinking of ways for us to prevent me locking my keys into places...LOL

house

The offer on our house was declined by the bank and we are waiting to see if the man wanting to buy the house is going to try to counter offer the bank. We are just waiting to see and praying that in God's timing the house will be sold. We are still going through flyers pretty quick and keeping the house up. We still enjoy living there, but are wanting to be in Riverside with our family and friends and closer. If you know anyone in the market for a house in hemet, I got one for them.
